James Wan's 2013 fright flick THE CONJURING was a masterpiece of real-life horror. The flick's 2016 follow-up THE CONJURING 2 was a little less than perfect, but, hell, how can to meet, and/or, top the original. Fair enough. It was still a fantastic creep-fest.
Then came the first CONJURING spin-off ANNABELLE. While I'm not an ANNABELLE-hater, I find it hard to remember much else from the flick other than the mind-numbingly hot Annabelle Wallis going full Rosemary's Baby. That and it had one terrific scare. The one with the crazy lady in the apartment with the door shutting on her. You probably know the one I'm talking about.
Anyways ANNABELLE 2 will be hitting us this coming summer with LIGHTS OUT director David F. Sandberg at the helm (which I'm excited to check out) and now we get word today that the SECOND THE CONJURING spin-off (whoa) THE NUN will be getting a summer 2018 release.
July 13th, 2018. To be exact.
THE HALLOW director Corin Hardy will bring his skills behind the camera for THE NUN, while ANNABELLE & STEPHEN KING'S IT scribe Gary Dauberman and James Wan will be knocking out the script. Wait, Wan's writing THE NUN? That's fuc*ing awesome! We'll keep you up to date as we learn more about THE NUN.
Meanwhile ANNABELLE 2 hits August 11. And, again, THE NUN hits July 13th, 2018.
