Could John Travolta be eying a role in that Toxic Avenger reboot?!

No, it’s not an early April Fool’s joke.

Way back in April 2010 we got word that there was a remake in the works based on Troma’s classic THE TOXIC AVENGER. And that’s pretty much the last we heard about the project. Well until today that is.

You see the guys over at ItsOnTheGrid have a page all set up for THE TOXIC AVENGER reboot and boy do they have one Hell of a name attached to this thing! According to the site the only actor attached to the project thus far is none other than John Travolta! Wait… what?! Is Travolta’s career really in that much trouble? Of course I would take this news with a grain of salt until something official comes along but still…. what?!

If The Grid is to be believed THE TOXIC AVENGER also has a director lined up in Steve Pink. Apparently Daniel Mitchell and Pink penned the script for ‘Toxie’ with Charlie Corwin, Akiva Goldsman, Richard Saperstein, Lloyd Kaufman and Michael Herz producing.
