David Fincher set to produce IOU for Mean Creek director Jacob Estes

David Fincher is producing the thriller IOU for MEAN CREEK director Jacob Aaron Estes (pictured above), reports The Hollywood Reporter. The screenplay was penned by TURISTAS scribe Michael Arlen Ross.

Unfortunately we know zilch about the story so far. What we do know is that the production revs up in January. Media Rights Capital (DEVIL) is financing.

As THR notes, Fincher isn’t usually keen to lend his name to projects he doens’t direct, so there must be something to IOU.

Estes recently directed the dark comedy THE DETAILS, starring Tobey Maguire and Elizabeth Banks (pictured below), and also penned the screenplay for THE DARK ENDEAVOR: THE APPRENTICESHIP OF VICTOR FRANKENSTEIN, which Matt Reeves is attached to helm.
