Exclusive: Excision clip is a kinky twist on animal surgery

Do you like surgery? What am I saying-- who doesn’t like surgery? I only ask because the scalpel-wielding coming-of-age film EXCISION hits DVD and Blu-ray October 16th and to celebrate we have an exclusive clip.

If the updates we’ve been doling out as of late weren’t awesome enough to convince you that EXCISION deserves your attention, give the scene below a minute of your time. It puts a dead bird under the knife of star AnnaLynne McCord, whose character seems more than a little turned on by playing doctor. The results are, shall we say, gloriously disturbing.

The film, directed by Richard Bates Jr, has gotten rave reviews and sports an amazing cast that includes McCord, Malcolm McDowell, John Waters, Traci Lords, Roger Bart, Marlee Matlin and Ray Wise. Check out the clip, cover art and synopsis below and while you’re at it, pre-order the DVD or Blu-ray today.

Based on writer/director Richard Bates, Jr.’s short film of the same name, Excision follows a disturbed and delusional high school student, Pauline (AnnaLynne McCord). Pauline, with aspirations of a career in medicine, goes to extremes to earn the approval of her controlling mother (played by Traci Lords). While dealing with both being an outcast teenager and having an obsession over curing her sister’s cystic fibrosis, Pauline becomes increasingly deranged as her fascination with surgery and flesh and blood grows into something compulsive and demonic, if not epic.

Extra Tidbit: I can't wait to see this movie. How about you guys?
