First look at a grungy Anne Hathaway on the set of the lawsuit-free Colossal

An on-set image has surfaced from the British Columbia set of Nacho Vigalondo's monster flick COLOSSAL, depicting Anne Hathaway in a less than elegant state. In a grunged-out wig that makes her look oddly like Dakota Johnson in FIFTY SHADES OF GREY, her character seems to be less put together than, say, Catwoman. Check out the image below!

COLOSSAL follows a woman who moves back to her hometown after losing her job and boyfriend in New York, only to discover that she is somehow strangely connected to a giant creature that has materialized over Seoul and is wreaking havoc on the city.

In other news, the lawsuit filed by Toho against the production has reached a settlement. As long as COLOSSAL avoids featuring Godzilla or an obvious derivative of such, they're in the clear. Where these lawyers were when PACIFIC RIM was being made, I'll never know. But at least Hathway is free to form strange bonds with lizard monsters unobstructed!

COLOSSAL rampages into theaters in 2016, with Jason Sudeikis, Austin Stowell, Tim Blake Nelson, and Dan Stevens joining Hathaway in the fight against Not-Godzilla.
