Iconic slashers team for Slashstreet Boys music videos

Slashstreet Boys

Last year, slasher icons Jason Voorhees, Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger, Leatherface, and Ghostface got together to form a boy band called Slashstreet Boys and released a music video for their first single "Slashing Bodies".

Just in time for Halloween, Slashstreet's back this year with a new music video, this one for their song "I'll Kill You That Way".

The videos for both Slashstreet tunes can be seen below, and they make for entertaining viewing just by providing the ridiculous spectacle of these slashers, most of whom are typically mute, dancing around and singing. You'll get further enjoyment from the videos if you're familiar with the songs these are parodies of, the Backstreet Boys songs "Everybody" and "I Want It That Way". Thanks to a friend who is obsessed with BSB, I happen to be way more familiar with their music than I would have personally chosen to be, so I know exactly what the inspiration was here.

Both videos were filmed and edited by The Merkins, in collaboration with Taco Truck.

Between Slashstreet Boys singles, Freddy Krueger also has a solo rap career. You can see his videos, including one for a Jason Voorhees diss rap, on The Merkins YouTube channel.
