Indie horror effort The Culling starts production with ensemble cast

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

Definition of “Culling”: 1. To pick out from others; select.
2. To gather; collect.
3. To remove rejected members or parts from (a herd, for example).

Guess that gives you an inkling of what the new indie horror film THE CULLING is going to be about; the flick has just gotten underway in New Orleans with producers from BLACK SWAN and MACHINE GUN PREACHER overseeing things.

Jonathan Schaech (pictured right), Jeremy Sumpter, Bret Davern, Elizabeth DiPrinzio, Chris Coy, Lindsey Godfrey, Virginia Williams and Harley Graham are all in the cast.

THE CULLING centers on a group of five college friends who head out of town for a fun-filled long weekend but their plans change after finding a 7-year-old girl alone at an empty cafe along the highway and have no choice but to drive her home. When they arrive at her house it’s quickly apparent they will have to stay for the night — but what’s not apparent is the evil nightmare they are about to encounter.

The flick was written and is being directed by Rustam Branaman (PROJECT SOLITUDE). When we know more about THE CULLING, so will you!
