Into the Storm pushed back a couple weeks by Warner Bros in UK

UK readers: If you’re looking forward to the tornado-terror flick INTO THE STORM as much as I am, you’ll be disappointed to learn you’re going to be waiting a bit longer to check it out.

Originally scheduled to come out August 8th, Warner Bros. has decided to push the Steven Quale-directed thriller back two weeks. It now opens on Wednesday, August 20th. No official reason has been given, although it’s possible WB wants to put a little more distance between STORM and GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, which comes out July 31st.

The film’s date has not changed in the U.S., however; it remains August 8th.

In the span of a single day, the town of Silverton is ravaged by an unprecedented onslaught of tornadoes. The entire town is at the mercy of the erratic and deadly cyclones, even as storm trackers predict the worst is yet to come. Most people seek shelter, while others run towards the vortex, testing how far a storm chaser will go for that once-in-a-lifetime shot.

Told through the eyes and lenses of professional storm chasers, thrill-seeking amateurs, and courageous townspeople, “Into the Storm” throws you directly into the eye of the storm to experience Mother Nature at her most extreme.
