James Wan’s Insidious set to scare you out of your home this July

One flick I just couldn’t seem to find the time to see was James Wan’s INSIDIOUS. I know, shame on me. I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about this thing and I cannot wait to check it out.

If you’re in the same boat as I am and missed your chance to check out INSIDIOUS on the big screen, worry not! I’ve got the details on when this bad boy will be hitting DVD and Blu-Ray! So go ahead and turn that frown upside down!

News coming in from DVD Active has word that INSIDIOUS will be hitting DVD and Blu-Ray everywhere on July 12th! We also have word on what kind of special features we’ll be seeing with the release. Now it’s not much, but according to DVD Active we’ll be treated to three featurettes (“Horror 101: The Exclusive Seminar”, “On Set With Insidious”, “Insidious Entities”) for the film… and that’s it. Bummer. Not much to pad this one huh? Then again from what I hear it doesn’t need it.

INSIDIOUS tells the terrifying story of a family who shortly after moving discover that dark spirits have possessed their home and that their son has inexplicably fallen into a coma. Trying to escape the haunting and save their son, they move again only to discover that it was not their house that was haunted.

INSIDIOUS sports a solid cast that includes Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne (below), Lin Shaye, Barbra Hershey, Ty Simpkins and Andrew Astor. Mark it on your calenders folks – July 12th!
