Jason Momoa in talks for Amirpour’s cannibal love story The Bad Batch

Here’s one you’re probably going to want to keep a close eye on as rising talent Ana Lily Amirpour, who recently delivered the genre-bending Iranian vampire movie A GIRL WALKS HOME ALONE AT NIGHT, already has her eyes set on a new story, one of the cannibal variety. The Wrap reports that “Game of Thrones” star Jason Momoa is in early talks to star in THE BAD BATCH, a post-apocalyptic tale set in a Texas wasteland where a community of cannibals reside.

The cannibal love story is even being pegged as a mix between THE ROAD WARRIOR and PRETTY IN PINK. Does that mean we’re going to see Momoa chomping down on some man-sushi while “If You Leave” plays softly in the background. I f*cking hope so.

Annapurna’s Megan Ellison will produce alongside Vice’s Danny Gabai and Sina Sayyah. Vice’s Shane Smith and Eddy Moretti will executive produce the film, which Annapurna executive Sammy Scher will oversee on behalf of the company.
