Learn the magic behind bringing American Horror Story’s most terrifying creature to life

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

Another episode of FX's "American Horror Story: Coven" is in the books, and that means it's time to take a peek inside the coven once again. If you're a fan of the show then its most terrifying creature, the Minotaur, needs no introduction. For those of you out of the know, the Minotaur came to be when a house servant of Madame Lalaurie's gets punished for having relations with one of her daughters. As part of his punishment Lalaurie puts the head of a bull on the man and uses magic to turn him into the terrifying mythical creature. The result is shit inducing nightmare fuel and easily one of the many great things about this season of "American Horror Story".

If you've been curious as to how they've brought the creature to life then this behind-the-scenes look is one not to miss. It's easy to forget sometimes the insane amount of work and hours these people put into creating stuff like this, so please check it out and take a moment to appreciate all of their hard work. It's quite cool!

This week's episode of "American Horror Story: Coven" is titled "The Axeman Cometh", here's what it's about:

Zoe (Taissa Farmiga), Queenie (Gabourey Sidibe), and Nan (Jamie Brewer) make contact with a dark spirit trapped in the Academy. Cordelia's (Sarah Paulson) new power brings on a heartbreaking revelation. Written by Douglas Petrie; directed by Michael Uppendahl.

"American Horror Story: Coven" airs Wednesday nights at 10/9c on FX.
