Lionsgate pushes Scott Derrickson’s Sinister back one week in October

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Relax, it’s only a week…

In an unexplained move, Lionsgate has decided to push Scott Derrickson’s SINISTER back one week, now set to release in theaters October 12th as opposed to the 5th. We can only assume the move is a strategic one to avoid V/H/S, TAKEN 2 and FRANKENWEENIE, all due on the earlier date. Good for them bad for me, as it kind of f*cks up my plans to double-bill with the cool looking horror anthology. Oh well.

With Ethan Hawke, Vincent D’Onofrio, James Ransone, Juliet Rylance and Fred Dalton:

SINISTER unspools as found footage helps a true-crime novelist realize how and why a family was murdered in his new home, though his discoveries put his entire family in the path of a supernatural entity.

Make a mental note, SINISTER now drops October 12th.
