Amityville: The Awakening Mckenna Grace

Young actress Mckenna Grace filmed her role in AMITYVILLE: THE AWAKENING three years ago, and next month viewers will finally get the chance to watch her performance when Dimension finally gives the movie some sort of release. Grace hasn't been waiting around the last three years; in that time she has added several credits to her filmography, and now she has signed on to appear in another horror project – Mike Flanagan's Netflix series adaptation of the 1959 Shirley Jackson novel The Haunting of Hill House.

The announcement that Grace is joining Hill House also revealed that another child actress, Violet McGraw, who just finished work on Steven Spielberg's READY PLAYER ONE, has been cast in the series. As with most of their adult co-stars, this announcement gave no details about their characters.

The only character we know anything about is the one played by Michiel Huisman. His character's name is Steven Crane, and he is

the oldest Crane sibling and a published writer of supernatural books — including a memoir about his family's time living at Hill House.

In the cast with Huisman, Grace, and McGraw are Carla Gugino, Henry Thomas, Elizabeth Reaser, Kate Siegel, Timothy Hutton, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Lulu Wilson, and Victoria Pedretti. This haunted house is starting to get crowded.

Flanagan's 10 episode series is a modern reimagining of Jackson's story, which previously served as the basis for the 1963 film THE HAUNTING and its 1999 remake
