Mike Flanagan’s haunted mirror flick Oculus pulls Katee Sackhoff into focus

Only took a couple months, but Karen Gillen now has herself a co-star…

Deadline is reporting that Katee Sackhoff (pictured) has been cast in Mike Flanagan’s haunted-mirror movie OCULUS. Sackhoff will play Marie, the mother to Gillen’s Kaylie character.

Co-written with Flanagan by Jeff Howard:

OCULUS centers on a murder that left two children orphans with authorities charging the brother while his sister believed that the true culprit was a haunted antique mirror. Now completely rehabilitated and in his twenties, the brother is ready to move on but his sister is determined to prove that the haunted mirror was responsible for destroying their family.

The flick was picked up by Film District in May, unfortunately no date has yet been assigned. How could one though if casting is still underway? Can’t really fault anyone there.

As for Sackhoff, big things abound. She has the RIDDICK sequel wrapped, as well as the chiller THE HAUNTING IN GEORGIA due next year.
