Back in April we learned that director Mike Flanagan's latest foray into horror SOMNIA had been acquired by Relativity, continuing the relationship between the studio and filmmaker as Relativity released his well-received OCULUS last year. If you've been wondering when we'd finally get to check out Flanagan's next horror effort then you'll be excited to hear that Deadline is reporting that SOMNIA has finally landed a May 8, 2015 release date.

Starring Thomas Jane, Kate Bosworth and Annabeth Gish, SOMNIA revolves around

…an orphaned child whose dreams — and nightmares — manifest physically as he sleeps.

Sounds like a creepy good time!

The film is produced by Trevor Macy, Sam Englebardt and William D. Johnson. Flanagan and his Oculus partner Jeff Howard wrote the screenplay.

Look for SOMNIA to haunt theaters (and your dreams) on May 8.
