Casting news on Steven C. Miller’s SILENT NIGHT keep on coming, probably because the cast and crew are too busy actually filming that shite to keep info from trickling out. Only yesterday, we learned that hottie Cortney Palm had a part in the flick and now Winnipeg Free Press uncovered the identity of our beloved bloodthirsty Santa! It looks like Winnipeg’s own actor/stunt coordinator Rick Skene (pictured right) will don the red fluffy suit and brandish the axe. You may have seen Mr. Skene’s work in such films as THE DIVIDE, SURVEILLANCE and THE ASSASSINATION OF JESSE JAMES BY THE COWARD ROBERT FORD.

It’s a snowy Christmas Eve in Cryer, Wisconsin. The normally quiet town is bustling with activity as the residents are getting ready for the big day. The events take place around the town’s annual Santa Parade, which has brought a record number of Santas to town. Deputy Sheriff Aubrey Bradimore is stuck reluctantly working the night shift, dealing with all of the drunken Santas, road closures, and stressed out locals — but things are about to take a deadly turn. A vicious serial killer, dressed as Santa Claus, has made his own “naughty list”, and anyone on it is in big trouble. As the body count rises, Aubrey races to discover the killer’s true identity – but in a town full of Santas, shady characters, and dark secrets, finding the real murderer will take more then a Christmas miracle.
SILENT NIGHT will star Jaime King, Malcolm McDowell, Donal Logue, Cortney Palm (below), Jamie Kennedy, Brendan Fehr, Lisa Marie and Ellen Wong. This flick is still shooting in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
