Morris Chestnut hired to play Halle Berry’s love interest in The Hive

“America Horror Story” actor Morris Chestnut has been given the tough task of playing Halle Berry’s love interest in THE HIVE, Brad Anderson’s kidnapping-thriller. Chestnut’s character is a cop.

Chestnut was also in such films as BOYZ N THE HOOD, UNDER SIEGE 2 and THE CAVE. Some better than others, naturally.

THE HIVE, produced by WWE Studios and Troika Pictures, also stars Abigail Breslin, Michael Imperioli, Michael Eklund, Roma Maffia Justina Machado and Evie Thompson. It is currently shooting in Los Angeles.

Set against the backdrop of a 911 emergency center, a 911 operator (Berry) must face her own fears in order to save a teenage girl (Breslin) from a serial killer.

A release date has not been set yet for THE HIVE, but we’ll let you know.
