New Boggy Creek hits DVD this September, teaser trailer here

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

I have not heard of this “version” BOGGY CREEK before, perhaps through no fault of my own, but here it is, ready to hit DVD in a handful of months. From what I can tell, it’s completely unrelated to Charles B. Pierce’s 1972 THE LEGEND OF BOGGY CREEK, but both deal with a certain bigfooted creature roaming around a swamp. (This one takes place in Texas, however, whereas Pierce’s was set in Arkansas.)

Starring Texas Battle, Melissa Carnell, Stephanie Honore and Shavon Kirksey, BOGGY CREEK comes out on DVD on SEPTEMBER 13th. The disc will include a documentary, deleted scenes, trailers, a gallery and more.

The synopsis:
When Jennifer’s father dies in a horrific accident, she finds
herself drawn to his small cabin in Boggy Creek, Texas.
She brings a few friends along for a weeks stay, but their
vacation soon turns deadly. They are warned of an evil
that has lurked near the water for three decades, a
terrifying creature that murders men and abducts women.
While camping, Jennifer and her friends encounter this
evil, finding themselves on the feeding grounds of a giant
beast. What began as a journey of self discovery becomes
a desperate fight for survival along Boggy Creek as they
soon learn the legends are true!!

I dug up a teaser trailer for the flick, which you can watch below. It seems like a decent enough time-killer.

Star Shavon Kirksey
