Last Updated on August 5, 2021

So let’s be honest for a second… if Guillermo del Toro had nothing to do with Troy Nixey’s DON’T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK remake would anyone care about it? No, I didn’t think so.

But alas, with del Toro producing and co-writing it seems even the flick’s official website going live is making the news. Can’t beat that, right? It’s true ladies and gents, the DON’T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK official website has gone live and can be found right over HERE!

Now the flash-filled website is actually pretty creepy and does offer a lot to do. As soon as you enter the site you’re asked to put in your name then the creepy whispers start calling to you… Yeah some pretty twisted stuff. Don’t take my word for it though, head on over there and check it our for yourselves!

DON’T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK follows Sally, a young girl who moves to Rhode Island to live with her father and his new girlfriend in the 19th-century mansion they are restoring. Having stumbled upon the mansion’s hidden basement, Sally starts hearing voices calling out from the bolted ash pit, imploring her to open it. Sally obliges and unwittingly unleashes something so terrible, so unthinkable, that everyone’s life – hers most of all – is placed in immediate and grave danger.

DON’T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK actually sports a pretty intriguing cast that includes Bailee Madison, Guy Pearce and Katie Holmes (below). Get ready to overcome your fear on August 26th.
