Oren Peli’s Chernobyl Diaries trailer and poster are here!

Want to wash the sugary taste of the DARK SHADOWS trailer out of your mouth? (I know I do.) Then check out the trailer for Warner Bros.’ other May release, the Oren Peli-produced CHERNOBYL DIARIES.

It’s pleasantly surprising to see that it’s an old-fashioned scary movie and not another slice of found footage (as I initially thought it would be). Looks quite solid and uber-creepy from my vantage point.

The film follows a group of six young tourists who, looking to go off the beaten path, hire an “extreme tour” guide. Ignoring warnings, he takes them into the city of Pripyat, the former home to the workers of the Chernobyl nuclear reactor, but a deserted town since the disaster more than 25 years ago. After a brief exploration of the abandoned city, however, the group soon finds themselves stranded, only to discover that they are not alone…

CHERNOBYL DIARIES was directed by Brad Parker and written by Oren Peli, Carey Van Dyke and Shane Van Dyke. It hits theaters on MAY 25th. To watch the trailer in HD, head on over to HERE.
