Poster & plot synopsis for end of the word sci-fi flick Defcon 2012

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

How about the title DEFCON 2012?

Sounds like a rad late 60s Kirk Douglas B-movie, doesn’t it? Either that or a late night cable flick with good ole Dolph. Either way, we’re proud as blood-spiked punch to introduce you to such a flick, one that just so happens to be a straight up, no bones about science fiction outing. Scope it…

Directed by R. Christian Anderson, from a script by Brian Delizareaux (who also produces), DEFCON 2012 commences:

On October 30, 2009 – as an independent filmmaker and his cast and crew are reported missing a month before the release of their controversial film predicting the end of the world. Authorities have reason to believe the film’s 2012 doomsday scenario may have something to do with their disappearance. An agent for CEA (Central Extraterrestrial Agency) discovers the footage to the film and watches the film on September 10, 2012, three months before the world is to come to an end.

Ah, a low budget 2012…who thinks this film will be superior to Roland Emmerich’s version? I sure as shite do!

Ryken Zane, Shy Pilgreen, Xu Razer, Thema Johannsen, and Justin Brusca comprise the small crew of actors. DEFCON 2012 is produced by Red Fortress Entertainment, with distribution coming from ITN. Click HERE to peruse the Official Site for the film.

No telling when this sucker will see a release, but I’d bet my life it’s headed for DVD rather than theaters. C’mon, the shite’s called DEFCON 2012 for crying out loud!

Amanda Peet, star of the other 2012!
