Relativity pushes back release dates of The Raven and House at the End of the Street

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

A couple of brief release dates moves for your calendar today as Relativity Media has shuffled its schedule a bit.

James McTeigue’s THE RAVEN, which stars John Cusack as Edgar Allan Poe, was scheduled to come out on MARCH 9th against Disney’s potential blockbuster JOHN CARTER. Even though it appeared to be decent counter-programming, THE RAVEN has taken flight to APRIL 27th. There’s no real competition there, but one week later brings THE AVENGERS, so hopefully THE RAVEN doesn’t mind being trounced in its second week of release.

Meanwhile, the thriller THE HOUSE AT THE END OF THE STREET, which stars It-hottie Jennifer Lawrence (pictured below), has made a bigger move; it leaves the APRIL 20th slot it had been inhabiting for quite some time and now sits on SEPTEMBER 21st, where it will be up against DREDD and HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA. A curious move, as HOUSE was due to come out less than a month after the world got a big helping of Lawrence in THE HUNGER GAMES; seemed like a great opportunity to ride that wave. Perhaps the push-back is because of Lawrence’s already busy press schedule…
