When American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy revealed that the upcoming eighth season of the series would take place in the future, horror fans immediately began to wonder if the show would be jumping into space, like LEPRECHAUN 4, HELLRAISER: BLOODLINE, and JASON X. Murphy was quick to say that, no, American Horror Story is not going into the final frontier.
Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Murphy offered some more vague details about the new season, saying that it will be
set in the near future. It has nothing to do with anything you’ve ever seen before. It’s really chilling."
Murphy also confirmed that Sarah Paulson, who has been with the anthology series since season 1 and has played multiple characters on it, will be returning for this "near future" season. And it sounds like her new character is going to have some interesting looking teeth.
Sarah Paulson is very excited about the dental appliances she will be wearing on the show."
American Horror Story season 8 will start airing on FX sometime later this year. I'm seven seasons behind on this one, but I do intend to watch this show one of these days. Well, it might take more than one day…
