Sin-Jin never was?

Here’s some news that should spin your mind and throw your sanity through a loop: according to Eileen Detz (of THE EXORCIST fame), the flick SIN-JIN SMYTH, starring Rowdy Roddy Piper, will never be released… because it was never made in the first place! Say what???

Detz caught up with FearNET and dished about a whole mess of projects, including her involvement in SIN-JIN SMITH, in which she had this to say: “That’s never going to come out, a film that half the world knows about. Just through circumstances and money and Roddy got really sick. And um, that movie is never going to be finished. It’s funny cause they did a trailer to show to people and they did my scene and in that one I just played a receptionist in a prison, where Sin-Jin was put into prison. It’s a real small scene but it’s kind of remarkable I guess a lot of people put it that way, but I’m afraid that movie is never gonna come out. Too much water under that bridge.”

Whoa is right! They filmed a trailer (THIS TRAILER) to get backers or support or buzz or what-have-you, but alas… no movie! Not only is it bizarre (I think everyone thought the trailer was put together from a larger movie–I guess that was a ridiculous thought), but it’s a bummer, too! The flick sounded like it’d be cool enough, and who wouldn’t want to see Roddy come back and kick some ass, THEY LIVE style? I know I would!
