Dogme director Søren Kragh-Jacobsen and SUBMARINO writer Tobias Lindholm have come together on THE HOUR OF THE LYNX, a Danish psychological thriller from an original story by Swedish author Per Olov Enquist. Sofie Grabol (pictured), who starred in the original version of the crime series “The Killing,” has been cast in the lead role, while Signe Egholm Olsen will play a key supporting role.

Gråbøl plays a vicar, who is looked up by a scientific researcher (Olsen) with a problem. She runs an experiment at a locked institution, helping violent, traumatised inmates by giving them the responsibility for pet animals.

One of them, who has murdered an elderly couple, has been closely devoted to a cat, until one day he kills it and tries to commit suicide. The vicar offers her help, but her voyage into his wounded soul will change her life forever.

Filming commences this summer on the Danish isle of Funen and in Northern Sweden. It already has a May 23, 2013 release date set in Denmark.
