Screen Media Films will release SWAMP SHARK on DVD on October 11. The Syfy original movie had the highest rating of its kind when it premiered in June. No word on special features as of now, but the cover art is pictured to the right.
The film is directed by Griff Furst (LAKE PLACID 3) and written by Charles Bolon, Jennifer Iwen and Eric Miller. It stars Kristy Swanson (below), D.B. Sweeney, Robert Davi, Jeff Chase, Jason Rogel, Richard Tanne, Sophie Sinise, Natacha Itzel and Wade Boggs.
A great white shark mutates and adapts to freshwater when a US Government bio-terrorism research facility spills its radioactive chemicals into the ocean. As the shark wreaks havoc on Mississippi River towns and threatens the freshwater system of the country, an embattled local fisherman and his hillbilly crew become destined to kill it.
