The Nun hits Blu-ray this December

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

I don't know exactly how I managed to do this but somehow I missed every single opportunity I had to check out director Corin Hardy's THE CONJURING spin-off THE NUN (pre-order HERE) in theaters earlier this year. Literally, everyone I know has seen the movie so far, but alas, the guy who writes for multiple major horror movie sites went and skipped it repeatedly. Urgh.

Anyhow, no worries if you missed the film in theaters as well, as today we have word that THE NUN will be hitting Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD this December. And for those of you out there that just can't hold onto their haunted horses until then, the flick will be available on Digital in November.

You can check out the special features below and then make sure to let us know if you plan to snag a copy of THE NUN on Blu-ray this Christmas.

Special Features:

A New Horror Icon

Gruesome Planet

The Conjuring Chronology

Over 10 minutes of deleted scenes

New Line Cinema’s horror thriller explores another dark corner of THE CONJURING universe and begins:

When a young nun at a cloistered abbey in Romania takes her own life, a priest with a haunted past and a novitiate on the threshold of her final vows are sent by the Vatican to investigate. Together they uncover the order’s unholy secret. Risking not only their lives but their faith and their very souls, they confront a malevolent force in the form of the same demonic nun that first terrorized audiences in “The Conjuring 2,” as the abbey becomes a horrific battleground between the living and the damned.

Oscar-nominated Demian Bichir stars as Father Burke along with Taissa Farmiga as Sister Irene, and Jonas Bloquet as local villager Frenchie, Charlotte Hope as the abbey’s Sister Victoria, Ingrid Bisu as Sister Oana and Bonnie Aarons, reprising her role as the title character.

Corin Hardy directed the film from a screenplay by Gary Dauberman and story by James Wan and Dauberman. It was produced by James Wan and Peter Safran, with Richard Brener, Walter Hamada, Dave Neustadter, Dauberman, Michael Clear and Todd Williams serving as executive producers. Joining Hardy behind the scenes are director of photography Maxime Alexandre, production designer Jennifer Spence, editors Michel Aller and Ken Blackwell, and costume designer Sharon Gilham. The music is by Abel Korzeniowski.

THE NUN hits Blu-ray and DVD on December 4, 2018, but you can own it earlier than that by picking up a Digital copy on November 20, 2018. You can go ahead and pre-order your copy on Blu-ray from Amazon RIGHT HERE.
