Theatre of the Deranged II coming to Blu-ray and VOD from Troma

A few years ago, James Cullen Bressack and Jarret Cohen of Psykik Junky Pictures assembled a group of independent filmmakers to contribute to the 2012 anthology THEATRE OF THE DERANGED. The movie consisted of five segments hosted by a character called Andy the Arsonist and directed by Creep Creepersin, Brian Dorton, Liz Gilbert, M. Kelley and Shawn C. Phillips, and Bressack himself.

Psykik Junky is following that up with the aptly titled THEATRE OF THE DERANGED II, which boasts a new host and segments directed by Bressack and a new batch of independent filmmakers.

The synopsis:

Damien Shadows introduces you to 5 blood curdling horror films, all of which are actually enchanted and or cursed. Damien shows you how to ward off the spirits after each terrifying tale in this anthology. From demented sisters, to panty raids gone wrong, to killer mimes and bad periods, this film will take you on one wild ride!

The sequel's segments include Bressack's "Unmimely Demise", Dustin Mills' "Plate Face", Shane Ryan's "Tag", Shawn Burkett's "Panty Raid", and Christopher Leto's "My Aunt Is Coming to Town".

For me, the main draw of this movie is the involvement of Ohio-based directors Burkett, who is currently working on a creature feature called DON'T F*CK IN THE WOODS (really), and Mills, a fascinating and stunningly prolific filmmaker I've been following for a while now.

The distribution rights for THEATRE OF THE DERANGED II have been picked up by Troma, who will be releasing it on Blu-ray and VOD on October 13th. There are no plans for a DVD release. If you would like to pre-order THEATRE OF THE DERANGED II on Blu-ray, you can do so right here.
