Trailer for Last Girl Standing explores the life of a slasher survivor

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Writer/director Benjamin R. Moody's LAST GIRL STANDING is set to make its premiere at the Film4 Frightfest in London on August 31st, and in advance of this the festival has released a trailer for the film, which can be viewed below.

Starring Akasha Villalobos as the titular character, LAST GIRL STANDING has the following synopsis:

Five years ago, a masked killer brutally murdered a group of friends. Since then, Camryn, the lone survivor, has struggled to reclaim her shattered life. Wracked with guilt and paranoia, can Camryn ever have a normal life again or is she destined to be alone?

Part slasher movie and part character study, LAST GIRL STANDING is a penetrating and intimate look at what happens to the survivors of horror movies.

I love slasher movies, so this is a concept that instantly appeals to me. I really like the look and tone of the trailer, this appears to be a nicely atmospheric, well photographed indie that's another great choice for the Frightfest line-up. I won't be able to attend the festival myself, but I'm anxious for an opportunity to watch LAST GIRL STANDING.

Do the set-up and trailer work as well for you as they work for me?
