So what will Halle Berry do in X-Men: Days of Future Past if she can’t fight or fly?

Halle Berry/Storm

Earlier this month it was announced that Halle Berry is three months pregnant and the father of the child is French actor Olivier Martinez. That’s great news for the couple but doesn’t Halle Berry know she needs to film X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST? Does she have to be so selfish?

I’m just kidding but her pregnancy will effect the film at least slightly. In an interview with the BBC her newly announced pregnancy was brought up and Halle Berry wanted to be clear that it won’t prevent her from appearing in X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST:

One thing is for sure, with another baby on the way mama cannot take time off.

Her pregnancy won’t change the script for the film apparently but it will effect how Halle Berry‘s character will be shown in the film and I don’t just mean the variety of ways they’ll try to hide her baby bump.

Storm probably won’t be as badass as she was going to be because we won’t be able to do any fighting or flying or things like that. She’ll be different than we originally planned her to be but I still think she’ll be an integral part of this new X-Men movie.

I don’t think Halle Berry will appear less in the film due to her pregnancy but none of us know how big of a role she’s going to have in the first place. If Berry has an “integral part” it might just be an extended cameo that is important to the plot for X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST. Since it seems like her scenes have been tweaked slightly it probably just means that if there is an action scene featuring Storm then she’ll be hanging out in the back tossing lightning bolts instead of partaking in any hand to hand combat.

Production on X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST just started this month and the film is set to be released on July 18th, 2014.
