The return of the hit HBO series "True Blood" is right around the corner as season six of the popular vampire show is scheduled to begin airing this upcoming Sunday, June 16, on the cable giant and today we have a new clip trailer filled with tons of new footage to get you stoked about the return of everyone's favorite vampire-themed, sex-filled, gore-drenched cable series. Check it out below!

The Authority is in flames. TruBlood is in short supply. As Bill comes to terms with his newfound powers after emerging reincarnated from a pool of blood, humans are in open conflict with vampires like never before. Meanwhile, Sookie and Jason must steel themselves for an encounter with their parents’ killer: the mysterious and ancient Warlow.

The hit series "TRUE BLOOD" kicks off its ten-episode sixth season SUNDAY, JUNE 16 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT), exclusively on HBO, followed by other new episodes on subsequent Sundays at the same time. Mixing romance, suspense, mystery and humor, the show takes place in a world where vampires and humans co-exist, after vampires have come out of the coffin, thanks to the invention of mass-produced synthetic blood that means they no longer need humans as a nutritional source.

Sookie, Eric, Jason, Tara, Lafayette, Pam, Jessica, Alcide, Sam, and Bill return in Season 6 along with the previously announced newbies Rutger Hauer (as a mysterious figure with deep ties to Sookie and Jason), "Rubicon"’s Arliss Howard (as Louisiana Governor Truman Burrell), "Friday Night Lights" star Jurnee Smollett-Bell (as do-gooder Nicole), Karolina Wydra (as Violet, a strong, sexy, possibly dangerous vamp), Luke Grimes (as a circa ’70s-made vamp who is smart, spiritual, and emotionally deeper than any other bloodsucker we’ve seen before), and "90210"’s Amelia Rose Blaire (as Howard’s onscreen daughter).

"True Blood" airs Sunday nights on HBO at 9/c.
