Agora promo tease

THE OTHERS and THE SEA INSIDE writer/director Alejandro Amenabar has been keeping a pretty tight lid on his upcoming drama AGORA, which is pretty impressive considering it’s an epic set in 4th century Roman Egypt, but a promo trailer was recently released for the film that shows at least a little bit of what Amenabar has in store for us. In the film, Rachel Weisz stars as famed scholar Hypatia who begins a torrid love affair with a slave (Max Minghella) in the midst of growing turmoil from the ever increasing Christian followers. The film’s set for release December 18th.
