Well, get used to this kind of news. With the release of director Andres Muschietti's (half) adaptation of STEPHEN KING'S IT hitting this week we can expect to start hearing Muschietti's name attached to every other project that comes out of the system.

Deadline is reporting that Paramount has snatched up the rights to DRACUL (not SIC) and they have their sights set on IT team Andy & Barbara Muschietti and Roy Lee to develop the flick.

DRACUL for those who don't know is "the first [Dracula] prequel authorized by the estate of Bram Stoker." The book was written by Dacre Stoker & J.D. Barker and below you can find the interesting synopsis.

After checking through that make sure to let us know what you think DRACUL thus far by hitting us up in the new comments section below, or on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram!

DRACUL synopsis:

Set in 1868, where a 21-year old Bram Stoker meets with an ungodly evil, which he traps in an ancient tower all the while scribbling the events that led him there.
