Appaloosa trailer

Westerns have pretty much gone the way of the dinosaur in today’s comic book dominated movie world but that hasn’t stopped Ed Harris from trying to bring them back with APPALOOSA. Written and directed by Harris himself based on the novel of the same name by Robert B. Parker, in it, he stars with Viggo Mortensen as two lawmen hired to bring order to the titular town after a nefarious rancher in the form of Jeremy Irons has taken over. From the looks of the trailer, which you can click through to check out, he may not usher in a new era of westerns but he’ll at least put in a respectable addition to the western library, like OPEN RANGE and 3:10 TO YUMA (the remake) before it.
