While we recently were hit with the terrible news that Starz’s horror-comedy series ASH VS EVIL DEAD was being put out to pasture after a mere three season, at least we can take comfort in the fact that the series will be hitting digital tomorrow and then Blu-ray and DVD on August 21 from Lionsgate.
Season 3 co-starred Lucy Lawless, Ray Santiago, Dana DeLorenzo, and newcomer Arielle Carver-O’Neill as Ash long-lost daughter Brandy. And, of course, Bruce Campbell as:
Ash, who – having gone from urban legend to hometown hero –discovers that he has a daughter. And, when Kelly witnesses a massacre with Ruby’s fingerprints all over it, she returns to warn Ash and Pablo.
The Season 3/Final Season Blu-ray and DVD only seems to include one(ish) special feature with audio commentary with executive producer Rob Tapert on every single episode. Not too bad considering I have listened to a few EVIL DEAD commentaries featuring the series’ long-time producer and he’s a fun guy to listen to.

And I’m pretty sure I’m not alone in thinking that maybe if we all buy this on Blu-ray (along with the other 2 seasons) maybe we will one day get more EVIL DEAD, in some form or another. Too bad it will not feature Ash though…
