Australia pics

The photos weíve seen so far from Baz Luhrmannís historical epic AUSTRALIA, have been all set pics, and didnít demonstrate that visual flair Buz is capable of. Now the filmís official site has put up some official stills, and it gives us a better idea of what the movie will look like, all post-productioned up. It stars the two people you see BELOW. The woman plays an English aristocrat who travels down under to tend cattle during WWII, where she falls in love with what looks to be the most masculine male Iíve ever seen, a cattle drover. Then some motherf*ckers start dropping bombs every which way, and the handsome cattle drover grows adamantium claws and obliterates everyone in sight, including Nicole Kidman. Click on the pic BELOW to check out the rest.

Extra Tidbit: Has Hugh Jackman yet to give a truly critically acclaimed performance?

Jackman is Awesome

I can't think off the top off my head a bad Hugh Jackman performance. Oops! Van Helsing just popped in my head. But still, The Prestige was a award-caliber performance but unfortunately Christian Bale overshadowed him. Awesome movie.

Jackman was awesome in "The Fountain", he proved he had range and depth. He also proved himself in "The Prestige". I think he just fell in the hollywood trap with "Van Helsing", but he's made up for it!

If it counts he got a Golden Globe Nomination for Kate & Leopold. I know he got great reviews for his Wolverine and he's a Tony Winnder on Broadway. Still, maybe this film will be his shot.

cool pics

Hugh is an awsome actor and doesn't need to prove himself to no one, we all know he has potential, but unfortunateley it's those damn critics who have the last word, but hey, he's better than allot of actors who according to movie critics, have given a "critically acclaimed performance"

A Tidbit of Sarcasm?

I happen to remember Jackman giving an excellent performance in a little film called The Prestige.
