Behind Hulk scenes

A new "making of" preview for the impending THE INCREDIBLE HULK is online, offering a look at how the Nortonized version of the Green Goliath takes a cue from the 70s TV series in its theme of a man on the run while battling his larger, angrier side. The general tone of the film seems to be more of a thriller, but with huge CGI dudes and massive collateral damage.

The clip gives quite a few glimpses of previously unseen shots from the movie and a brief look behind the scenes.

Extra Tidbit: Still not entirely sold on that "Rocky vs. Apollo" shot...

I don't know what to make of this one.

I mean, I do like the redesigned Hulk (I thought the one in the first movie was too big, too bloated, too Day-Glo and, honestly, too cute).

But, despite this great cast (although, even with glasses, Tyler doesn't look intelligent), I'm getting a definite whiff of those cheesy movies that you see on the SciFi Channel from a lot the footage I've seen.

That said, I've always enjoyed the pathos of the old TV series, so I'll be watching this movie with my fingers crossed.

Hulk Forever?

I hate that I'm kind of getting a Batman Forever vibe from this. I mean think about it: it features a completely new cast even though one had already established itself in previous film(s), and more importantly, it's a superhero film that takes influence from the famous TV-show. It's easy to look back now and say this film is nothing like Forever, but I mean think about the cast of Forever leading up to its release: Tommy Lee Jones, Nicole Kidman, Val Kilmer, etc. I guess only time will tell...

YEAH ....

... I can definitely feel TV show influence. I miss Connelly and Elliott, she's much hotter than Tyler, and he's more furious than Hurt's Ross.
