Bolt opening chase
Oct. 20, 2008
So far, everything about Disney's upcoming animated flick BOLT makes it seem like it's a smashing good time and the four minute opening sequence that was recently released is only helping matters. In it, the titular dog is a superhero on a tv show who escapes into the real world and realizes he's not so super after all. John Travolta voices Bolt with Miley Cyrus, Malcolm McDowell and Diedrich Bader also lending their voices. Check out the clip below. Bolt springs into action November 21st.

Extra Tidbit: Quentin Tarantino's DEATH PROOF had a working title of THUNDER BOLT, which has nothing to do with the Disney film but, you know, it's, um, something.

I thought this clip was just a marvel to watch and looked amazing. And I never even thought of Toy Story when I saw the trailers for this film. I think the movie would have to be more than about delusional characters for it to be a rip off. You know, it might need talking toys who come alive when away from humans. But as it was said, how does a person rip off his own work?

First off, John Lassester was one of the founders for Pixar and basically created the idea for Toy Story. Now he is Chief Creative Officer of both Pixar and Disney animation studios. Not to mention he also produces this movie. So I would think he wouldnt let this movie be made if it was anything...

Also about death in a disney movie. The last time I recall, there was alot of different depictions of death in a Disney movie. Most classic ones are Bambi and The Lion King. Not to mention The Incredibles had death in it. So this isnt anything new in Disney's history of films.
On a lighter note, I love the level of animation and comedy just from what I saw in this little clip. Im excited to see the whole thing even though Miley Cirus voices the girl in it. *shudders* Just wish there was a HD version of this.
