Bruce Campbell says there will be no Ash in The Evil Dead remake

As you are all well aware, there is a new version of THE EVIL DEAD. The majority of you are not pleased with the news.

Now there are more developments in the project. Most of our news comes from Ash himself, Mr. Bruce Campbell. Armed with a Twitter account, Campbell can now answer any and all fan questions thrown at him. Of course, all of his replies are classy and amazing.

When asked who they would be casting for Ash in the new film, Brucey said this, “No Ash character currently. Twitter fails when info gets fragmented. Last statement: ED remake is a re-telling. All bets are off & all involved love the new approach.”

Okay, so we all know that Ash is EVIL DEAD. Tree rape comes in at a close second. But c’mon people, would you rather have no Ash or some ass clown trying to play Ash? No one plays Ash but Bruce Campbell. Plus, there will be a cameo from the actor. He also says it’s a “re-telling” instead of a full blown remake. However, Diablo Cody is still scripting.

Do we trust in Bruce Campbell since he “loves the new approach”? Or do we still want to eliminate this remake/retelling with our boomstick?
