Christian Bale is in negotiations to star in Creed of Violence

Now that his Batman days are over, Christian Bale must find other projects to whet his appetite.

It looks like Todd Field’s adaptation of Boston Teran’s novel THE CREED OF VIOLENCE will do the trick. Currently the actor is in negotiations to star in the film.

The novel depicts, “the 1910 Mexican revolution via the gun sights of an unlikely duo: small-time assassin Rawbone and John Lourdes, a young Bureau of Investigation agent. The two are forced to work together to infiltrate the Mexican criminal underground, encountering thieves, smugglers and professional killers. Bale is in the early stages of negotiating a deal to play Rawbone. It is no sure thing that a deal will close.”

Field (LITTLE CHILDREN) will helm as well as adapt the screenplay.

Producers would like to start production in early 2013 in both the American Southwest and parts of Mexico.
