The first SPECTRE television spot aired last night during the NBA Finals, and it's an extended one that contains some great new footage. While the first half is essentially a condensed version of the teaser trailer, the rest is an action-packed look at director Sam Mendes' SKYFALL sequel.

The spot teases several big action pieces, including the Day of the Dead parade opening scene and the Rome car chase between Daniel Craig's 007 and Dave Bautista's Mr. Hinx, and it also gives us a glimpse at a few familiar faces and some new ones, such as Monica Belluci's Lucia Sciarra.

"If you don't leave now we'll die together, Mr...?"

Synopsis:

A cryptic message from Bond's past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organization. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE.

SPECTRE opens on November 6, 2015.

Don't even need to watch it!!

The teaser was great and showed exactly what i wanted to see. Don't need to sully my movie experience by watching more footage.

Cannot wait! Funny to see a TV spot Spectre this early before November. Daniel Craig is hands down the BEST James Bond ever. Sorry, Connery. You're the man who started it all, and your role as James Bond will forever be the most iconic, but Craig is simply the best. He's given us such a deeper look into this character, which for decades no one bothered to explore. Connery's Bond is great to look at and listen to, but Craig's Bond is so much more intriguing and interesting to follow with each

That certainly looked shrug-worthy.

I haven't been excited for a Bond film since the Craig reboot started.

They're all okay in a generic action movie sort of way, but none of them screams James Bond to me. I'd like to see either a return to the older form of Bond, or another reboot that sticks really close to the Flemming books and sets it in the time period of those books.

A return to the older form of Bond. Your referring to.....jet packs, moon bases, invisible cars, exploding pens, a movie title with the word "Die" in it.

Craig's Bond is a pill-popping, alcoholic, gambler, ladies man playboy, heavy egocentric, ignorant and stubborn, acts first with questions later, prone to losing control and breaking all barriers, and an orphan turned MI6 spy who hides all his inner demons to avoid showing weakness. This is the character from the novels, but also a character who was forgotten decades ago when it was mostly about Bond's charm, wit, and clever action. Bond as never been more exciting, thrilling, and intriguing than he has been in the Craig series. Bond is a thriller, a killer, a charmer, a protagonist, and yet he is also vulnerable to tragedy.

The Pierce Brosnan movies are the ones that were generic action movies. The Daniel Craig movies have made 007 interesting again.

These new Bond films bore me.

Get rid of Sam Mendes and his generic compositions and textbook classicism. Bring in an unabashed formalist to inject some actual style and energy into these posh pansy-ass PG-13 cash grab flicks.
