Doctor Strange adds Transparent star Amy Landecker to its cast

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Production on DOCTOR STRANGE is in full swing, but apparently there are still a few roles left to fill. The Wrap has learned that Transparent actress Amy Landecker has been added to the cast of the Marvel film, joining Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Tilda Swinton, Mads Mikkelsen and Michael Stuhlbarg, but unfortunately, her role is being kept on the down low.

Besides playing Sarah Pfefferman on the Amazon Studios comedy-drama series, Landecker’s other small screen credits include guest roles on Vegas, Curb Your Enthusiasm and Louie, and she has also appeared in such films as PROJECT ALMANAC, ALL IS BRIGHT and DAN IN REAL LIFE. The actress and Stuhlbarg previously worked together in the Coen brothers’ A SERIOUS MAN.

Filming for the comic book movie kicked off earlier this month in Nepal with SINISTER’s Scott Derrickson behind the camera, and he’s directing from a script by PROMETHEUS scribe Jon Spaihts. Any guesses as to who Amy Landecker will be playing in DOCTOR STRANGE?

DOCTOR STRANGE will be in theaters on November 4, 2016.
