28 Weeks Later October 9

The follow up to 28 DAYS LATER garnered a 71% on Rotten Tomatoes in spite of a new director and new writer, although o’ Bedgbie himself is back on the scene. I’m huge 28 DAYS LATER fan so I can’t wait to get my grubby paws on the sequel.

Includes:

  • Feature Commentary by Director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo and Co-Writer Enrique Lopez Lavigne
  • Code Red: Making Of 28 Weeks Later Behind-The-Scenes Featurette
  • The Infected Make-Up Effects Featurette
  • Getting Into The Action Featurette
  • 28 Days Later: The Aftermath Flash-Animated Graphic Novel
  • Deleted Scenes with Optional Commentary
  • Theatrical Trailers

Commando (SE) September 18

If you guys haven’t already, you should check out Arrow in the Head’s new column called REEL ACTION, a column dedicated to classic action flicks. Its first order of business was giving props to COMMANDO, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s finest work yet/ever. It has some of Arnold’s classic lines and he has all the comfortability playing a doting father as Scott Petersen did. Let’s not forget bad guy dictator Dan Hedaya in one of the worst accents since Madonna and her fake English accent.

Includes:

  • Seamlessly branched Director’s Cut with never-before-seen footage
  • Audio commentary by director Mark Lester (on theatrical version only)
  • Deleted Scenes
  • Pure Action featurette
  • Let Off Some Steam featurette
  • Photo galleries with over 150 images
    • Creating Commando
    • Domestic Bliss with John and Jenny
    • Kill Arnold, Kill!
    • Trashing the Galleria

Entourage (S3 Part 2) October 2

Not really a big fan of HBO separating seasons on DVD. It’s bad enough, in the case of THE SOPRANOS, we have to wait years in between seasons, now we have to wait and pay full double the price for a full season on DVD. Bastages. Part 2 includes commentaries, an “Anatomy of Entourage” featurette and a Museum of Television & Radio Panel. Joy.
