First look at Chloe Moretz as Let Me In's lead vamp

05.07.2010

As creepy as I felt going to ChloeMoretz.com, that's where I found this scan from an upcoming issue of EW, which features Moretz as the lead vampire in Matt Reeves' LET ME IN. From the photo, it appears that she’s waiting to uh, be let in.

I’m still miles away from thinking that this remake A) is necessary or B) will be any good, but Moretz has impressed me in both 500 DAYS OF SUMMER and KICK-ASS, so I’m curious to see what she does here. Her male counterpart in the film, Kodi Smit-McPhee could cry “Papa!” very convincingly over and over during THE ROAD, but I haven’t seen him do much more than that yet.

Check out the image below, and look for more in the new issue of EW.

They can prove to me this isn't a Twilight cash-grab very simply: R rating.

I think they should remake Biggles... anyone seen that? Was a favourite of mine when I was a kid, bought the DVD recently and couldn't make it past 5 minutes it was so crap.

Oh, Let The Right One In was a decent film and Chloe was great in Kick-Ass. Will wait to see what the trailer does for me before deciding whether it blows.

completely unnecessary. the original was brilliant.

come on, there are so many great works of fiction out there to adapt and they had to pick one that was already made 2 years ago? you know what they call that? milking a cash cow. and that's the only reason why this movie will exist, i don't give a damn how cool Chloe Moretz was in Kick Ass.

there have been dozens of remakes just like this that have failed miserably. what makes you think Hit Girl and Cloverfield guy will make this

give it a chance

im just saing this movie a chance cuz the original had the little girl who made the movie because the boy was a just a closet case who enjoyed his beatings on a hidden level. i feel this might be the same way. the only reason why this would equal is the risky filming like in the priginal ( exam- nude scene and they probley wont use the hidden agenda of the color red in this movie like they did in the original) and if you read the article in the pic u see she wasnt allowed to see the original

p.s.- for deforce, the remake of a death at a funeral was as good or even better than the original its like comparing the two offices.

Looking Forward to this movie

I thought she did a wonderful job inn Kick-Ass and she is the right (LOL) choice for this role. i loved let the right one in and i am most intereasted in seeing if the American re-do is as well done as the REC remake was.

Quarantine was a hack shot-for-shot copy without a shred of originality. The only benefit I could possibly imagine is not having to read subtitles. And that "plus" (if you're lazy enough to call it one) is cancelled out by the mere presence of the shrill, god-awful mess that is Jennifer Carpenter.

Very excited!

Love the original and excited for the "remake" as it's more like a re-imagining and more focused on the book. Besides, Chloe will undoubtedly make this a must-see.

If I'm not mistaken, the writers/producers of this "update" looked closer to the book, from which the first film was adapted. I definitely don't want to jump to conclusions here, as it's far too easy to make assumptions that the American remake will be cheap, glossy, and void of originality. I really hope that they bring something very different to the table though -- and more than, say, Death at a Funeral and its mere color tint.

It's too early to tell if this movie actually looks good or not, but if they hope to even equal the original in terms of quality, they're seriously mistaken.
