Imogen Poots is the Fright Night remake’s female lead. Imogen Poots.

Imogen Poots. Imogen Poots. A name I can’t stop repeating, like Leo at the end of THE AVIATOR.

Imogen Poots is, in fact, a lovely young British actress who will be playing the part of Anton Yelchin’s lady friend in the remake of FRIGHT NIGHT.

Poots isn’t exactly a newcomer — she’s had roles in 28 WEEKS LATER and V FOR VENDETTA, and appears in Neil Marshall’s period pursuit movie CENTURION.

The new Vegas-located FRIGHT NIGHT stars Yelchin (stepping into the twice-worn shoes of William Ragsdale) as a teenager who’s convinced that his charismatic neighbor is actually a vampire.

Colin Farrell is playing the bloodsucker, originally portrayed by Chris Sarandon (who, in a meta twist, was rumored to be playing the part of Roddy McDowall’s horror host — although that character has been altered to a Vegas stage magician, with recent Dr. Who David Tennant in the role).

The FRIGHT NIGHT update comes from director Craig Gillespie (LARS AND THE REAL GIRL) and writer Marti Noxon (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Angel”), and also features Toni Collette and Christopher Mintz-Plasse.
