What, you don’t have enough money?

IMAX and Universal Pictures today announced that Universal and Amblin Entertainment’s global-record-breaking film, JURASSIC WORLD, will receive a special week-long engagement in domestic IMAX 3D theaters beginning August 28th.

The film has made $1.5 billion at the global box office, $636 million of that coming from the states. It’s currently number three all time worldwide, and will likely stay there for the foreseeable future; number two is TITANIC with $2.1 billion, a number JURASSIC isn’t going to reach.

JURASSIC WORLD has become the second-highest-grossing film in IMAX’s history, with $116 million and counting, second only to AVATAR, of course the number one top box office grosser of all time.

Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Vincent D’Onofrio, Ty Simpkins, Nick Robinson, Omar Sy, BD Wong and Irrfan Khan star in the 3D epic action-adventure that is directed by Colin Trevorrow, who is currently writing the sequel. The next chapter in the JURASSIC franchise will open in June 2018.
