Kit Harington Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare

I've mentioned my lack of gaming experience several times before, but this should put it in perspective for you; of the close to fifteen installments in the Call of Duty franchise, the last one I actually played was…Call of Duty, the one that started it all. The Call of Duty franchise has since become an annual tradition and the upcoming Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will be released on November 4, 2016. The games have made use of some big actors to supply voices and occasionally likenesses (the plastic looking Kevin Spacey from Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare comes to mind) in the past, and the latest actor to join up is none other than Jon Snow himself.

Activision announced today that Kit Harington has joined the cast of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare as the main villain, an "embodiment" of the Settlement Defense Front. Taylor Kurosaki, narrative director at Infinity Ward, said, "Kit is an amazing talent, and the consummate pro. Our story is about an epic showdown of opposing forces, and Kit immersed himself into the role and truly became the embodiment of the enemy, the Settlement Defense Front.  We can't wait for fans to see Kit play an entirely different kind of character." To assist Harington in bringing the character to life, Activision and Infinity Ward brought in Guy Ritchie (SHERLOCK HOLMES). Infinity Ward studio head Dave Stohl said:

Guy Ritchie is a friend of the franchise, so it was great to have him back to work with us, assisting in bringing Kit Harington's character to life in Infinite Warfare. It meant a lot to us to develop the role into everything it could be. We're excited about the performance Kit delivered and can't wait to get it out to the public. We're committed to delivering a compelling story with rich character depth, and this was a special opportunity to add to our fantastic cast.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will throw players into the role of Captain Reyes, a Tier 1 Special Operations soldier, who "takes the helm of the Retribution, one of Earth's last remaining warships. In a time of unthinkable hardships, Reyes must lead the remnants of coalition forces against a relentless enemy in a war that stretches to new terrains across the vast expanse of our solar system beyond Earth." You can check out a very brief look at Kit Harington on the motion-capture stage on the official Call of Duty Facebook page.
