Last House remake cast

Remember when actress Monica Potter was sort of being marketed as the next Julia Roberts? And then she sort of... wasn't? Well, PATCH ADAMS didn't kill her career -- she's still around, and she's about to be completely f*cking terrorized.

Potter, who hasn't been in a theatrical feature since SAW, will be back for more torture in LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT, the remake of Wes Craven's early, raw tale of bad people doing seriously nasty things. She'll be fixin' for revenge with actor Tony Goldwyn (GHOST, KUFFS), who himself occasionally spends time behind the camera compelling others to do evil (he directed several DEXTER episodes).

Director Dennis Iliadis is commanding thugs to rape and murder for Rogue Pictures' redo. Garret Dillahunt (NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN), Martha MacIsaac (SUPERBAD) and young hottie Sara Paxton (SYDNEY WHITE) are also involved in the updated torment, with Craven producing.
Extra Tidbit: Potter and Goldwyn both appeared in movies featuring Morgan Freeman as Alex Cross (KISS THE GIRLS and ALONG CAME A SPIDER).

Okay, Dillahunt is actually a pretty good actor with a couple of A-list titles under his belt from last year, and two memorable roles from his "Deadwood" days. What's he doing here? He should be making a name for himself in more high-class fare.

I actually haven't seen the "original," but I have seen "Virgin Springs," which was really good if you can stand Bergman.

Let's all pray they lean for R instead of PG-13.

And no wussy "The Hitcher" remake R, I'm talking about some "Hills Have Eyes" remake R. If done right, this movie could own, it's got a fair bevy of hotties and I trust Dillahunt as Krug.

Now here's a remake I wouldn't mind at all. The original movie was horrifically bad in a 70's kind of way, so there's no way a remake could be possibly worse than this.

Dear lord...

I hold the original Last House on the Left very dear to my warped, twisted heart. A lot of people hate it for one reason or another, but I'm really afraid that a remake will make it something else.

Either way, it will NEVER be as bad as that tripe-fest Chaos (David DeFalco's "remake" of the film that sucked enormous nutsacks).
