Latest trailer for Adam Sandler's Grown Ups is now online

04.16.2010

Surprisingly, I'm not as put off by this as our own Mike Sampson was back in November when the first trailer for Adam Sandler's GROWN UPS was released. I mean, I'll be honest, this isn't my type of comedy either, but director Dennis Dugan did bring us some of Sandler's earlier and funnier work such as HAPPY GILMORE and BIG DADDY. I liked those. And I enjoy watching Kevin James hurt himself. Will this bring more of the good stuff? Or will this indeed be a complete waste of some good comedic talent? I'll be honest again: I don't care... I just got back from a late screening of KICK-ASS and that shit rocked my f*cking cock.

GROWN UPS opens June 25th. Head over to MySpace to check it in HD.

Synopsis: Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade and Rob Schneider star as five men who were best friends when they were young kids and now are getting together for the Fourth of July weekend to meet each others' families for the first time. Picking up where they left off, they discover why growing older doesn't mean growing up.

I'm sorry. I like these guys but it just seems like these days comedies like these aren't that funny anymore. They're just pretty repetitive. Strange Wilderness...now THAT was awesome-funny!

Punch-Drunk Love
then
Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore. I think Bulletproof is underrated as well... great Sandler moments in there.

Sandler proved he's capable of giving incredible performances as he did in "Punch-Drunk Love" and "Funny People" so I don't really know why he bothers with shit like this anymore.

Honestly, how many movies do we need that feature a scene with the fat guy falling down a mountain and hitting himself on every tree on the way down while everyone watches going "Ooo!" That is probably the most overplayed comedic scene around and it was never funny to begin with. Yet still everyone in the audience

I don't know

After the abomination that was You Don't Mess with the Zohan, I'm not expecting too much. Nothing in this trailer was funny either. It's pretty much like every other shitty comedy these days. It's not another Happy Gilmore or Anger Management. Those were brilliant.

meh

I love Rock, Spade, and Sandler...I'm hoping this movie will be good. I will give it a chance, but the trailer isn't making me laugh. My fav Sandler flick is Billy Madison! Amazing movie

my favorite sandler movie.

was probably Click. not b/c it was funny (it was meh), but b/c of the message. it hit close to home. i was a workaholic, working (and unfortunately still do) for a company that's very very poorly run. seeing that movie really made me think about things. i don't want to be that guy that works constantly and misses out on wife/family.

agree with maic

movies looks fun, dont hate on it because its not in 3d or doesnt have any brutal murders, looks like a classic sandler film, definitely worth checking out

I have to say just based off of laughter - Big Daddy is my favorite. Just based off of purely enjoying a film, Funny People is my favorite.
