The upcoming JOHN WICK: CHAPTER TWO will see Keanu Reeves and Laurence Fishburne sharing the screen for the first time since the conclusion of the MATRIX trilogy. The JOHN WICK sequel will see Keanu Reeves returning to the role of the ex-hitman with a penchant for head-shots and, in addition to the excitement already surrounding the anticipated sequel, fans seem pumped to see the former MATRIX stars reunited. While speaking with Collider recently, Lawrence Fishburne revealed that he was the one who reached out to Keanu Reeves for a role in the film.

Keanu and I have remained friends and we saw each other and I told him I watched the movie and loved it. He was about to start the movie again and I was like, “Yo, man, you gotta talk to Chad and tell him that your boy Fish wants to come get down,” because I really wanted to be a part of it. They found something for me to do, and it was really cool.

JOHN WICK: CHAPTER TWO will introduce a more international flavour to the new franchise, as John Wick will be traveling to Rome where he will meet with several new characters. Laurence Fishburne will be playing a character known as The Bowery King, and while we still don't know much about him, Fishburne did tease a few details about his character's place in John Wick's world.

I’m a part of another world that exists inside the world of John Wick. That wasn’t something that was clear in the first movie. It’s like a part of his world that exists but you wouldn’t know about it, and it won’t really be revealed until the second movie.

JOHN WICK: CHAPTER TWO is set for a February 10, 2017 release.
